Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Tells Trump to ‘Name His Whole Cabinet’ Today to Save Campaign From Increasing Legal Drama

Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade is recommending Donald Trump name his entire cabinet more than six months out from the presidential election as a way to help lessen the impact of his increasing legal trouble.

On Thursday’s Fox & Friends, Peter Doocy reported on a Thursday star-studded New York City fundraising event that will feature President Joe Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as several celebrities. Biden’s campaign announced on Thursday they already raised $25 million from the event.

Kilmeade argued Trump is still holding a lead over Biden, but his legal battles are taking up more time and money resources. He has a trial date set for April 15 in a case related to a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair. Trump lawyers are also scheduled to be in a Georgia courtroom to argue for the dismissal of an election racketeering case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

“The polls, the president says he’s gaining in some of the battleground states, he’s got more money than the RNC, no question, which is reconfiguring, as well as the president. He’s got to be spending a little on his court cases. He can’t get out as much as he can,” Kilmeade said. “That’s why I think the president should name his whole cabinet, and I would put them out everywhere to talk about what the secretary of labor, secretary of defense would be doing and say, this is your government because the president now in April will be stuck in a courtroom for, they say, six weeks.”

Lawrence Jones dismissed Biden’s fundraising and argued Trump would end up looking more appealing to voters because he’s attending the wake of slain New York City Officer Jonathan Diller the same day amid his campaign’s focus on crime.

“I don’t think any American, except for the New Yorkers who are going to have to deal with the traffic caused by three presidents being here, cares about the president’s fundraising,” he said. “I think what’s concerning is, you have an officer that was killed, 31 years old by a repeat offender with a long rap sheet and the president has not called the family and will be attending the wake. When you contrast that with the former president, who called the family and as a result of calling the family, the family invited him to attend the wake.”
