‘Pathway to Loserdom’ Morning Joe Warns Republicans Trump Is a ‘Fighter Past His Prime’ After Oscar Rant

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough chalked up Donald Trump’s Sunday night rant about the Oscars as a clear sign Republicans are on the “pathway to loserdom” come November.

Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski laughed on Morning Joe in reaction to a video of comedian Jimmy Kimmel reading off a Trump Truth Social rant about the Oscars, criticizing the host.

“Isn’t it past your jail time?” Kimmel asked during the broadcast.

“I guess he doesn’t understand. He just keeps walking into traps,” Scarborough said on Monday.

The former Republican congressman called Trump a “fighter that’s past his prime,” arguing that posting to social media on random cultural topics may have worked in the past, but it doesn’t now.

“He keeps, you know, again, it’s like an old fighter that’s past his prime. The things that may have worked, that may have been disruptive six, seven, you know, 2016, everybody knows what’s coming so he’s the butt of the joke for millions and millions of people last night,” Scaborough said.

The Morning Joe co-host then knocked conservative critics of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, including Sean Hannity who referred to the president as “jacked up Joe.”

“This is the pathway to loserdom and we’ve been seeing that over the weekend. You’ve been seeing the reaction to Biden’s State of the Union address,” Scarborough said. “You’ve been seeing really stupid reactions from people who say that he was going to be asleep. Now it’s like, oh he’s too jacked up.”
