Christie: If Trump Has No Confidence in Jeff Sessions He ‘Has to Act’
On Pres. Trump’s public criticisms of AG Sessions, Trump ally @GovChristie says: “If the president has absolutely no confidence in the attorney general, then the president has to act – not just criticize, but act, and he has the right to do that.” #ThisWeek pic.twitter.com/npUmLV4fjD

President Trump is now just publicly trashing his own Attorney General, and the man who was once rumored for the position has some thoughts.
Chris Christie appeared on ABC’s This Week today reacting to all the White House chaos, including this:
Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!

Christie told George Stephanopoulos, “The President has a right to do what he wants to do. And if the President has absolutely no confidence in the attorney general, then the President has to act. Not just criticize, but act.”
He also said Jeff Sessions has a few questions to ask himself as well.
Would Christie be in contention for the job if Sessions left?
