Bill Maher is Still Puzzled by the Hate for Hillary Clinton: ‘She’s a Bland Centrist!’

It has now been exactly ten months since the 2016 election and Bill Maher said he’s still puzzled by the hate for Hillary Clinton.

Speaking to Ken Bone, the sweater-wearing undecided voter who went viral after the town hall debate, Maher invoked a portion from Clinton’s new book What Happened when she said that “future historians will be very puzzled at why people hated her as much as they did.”

“I could see not liking her terribly much because she’s not a great politician,” Maher continued, “but if you really hate Hillary Clinton, you were molested by a real estate lady. I just don’t get it. She’s a bland centrist. This is not Che Guevara in a pantsuit.”

When asked why he remained independent for so long, Bone told the Real Time host that he never “hated” Clinton, but he still thought that she was a “polarizing figure.”

“Even someone who has moderate or centrist opinions relative to the Democratic Party like Hillary Clinton is going to be a polarizing figure and people just want to jump on her,” Bone elaborated. “And Donald Trump was the master at getting people to look at her instead of look at him.”

When asked if that worked on him, Bone said he tried to “dig a little deeper,” adding he doesn’t believe what he hears the first time.
