WATCH: Reporter’s Coverage of Active Shooter Interrupted By Gunfire

A Florida news reporter was covering a shooting at an apartment complex Tuesday when shots rang out behind her, while she was live on the air.

A WMBB-TV reporter was covering the story from a distance as the gunfire erupted.

“There haven’t been any shots in a while,” the man being interviewed by WMBB said, moments before more gunshots rang out. “There are shots now. Shots fired now,” he then added.

“As you all can hear right now, there are shots going off,” the reporter said as she and the interviewee stepped out of the view of the camera.

WMBB-TV later reported that police identified the suspected gunman as Kevin Robert Holroyd. The station also reported the victim as 30-year-old Clinton Street, who authorities found with multiple gunshot wounds. The severity of Street’s injuries was not immediately clear.
