Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer: We Do Not Have a ‘Monica Lewinsky Type Dress’

The lawyer for the porn star alleging a 2006 affair with President Donald Trump pushed back on “the rumor” Tuesday morning, claiming there’s no “‘Monica Lewinsky type’ dress…to be tested for DNA.”

Stormy Daniels‘ attorney, Michael Avenatti, tweeted the clarification Tuesday to address apparent rumors there was such a dress, adding that progress had been made “on the assault/stalking that occurred around the same time” that Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, was said to have threatened In Touch Weekly.

The back-and-fourth between the White House and the Daniels-Avenatti team has escalated following Daniels’ appearance on 60 Minutes last Sunday, during which she spoke out despite having signed a $130,000 non-disclosure agreement that previously kept her quiet.

On Monday night, Stormy Daniels’ friend and fellow former porn star Alana Evans claimed Stormy still has the dress from the night of her alleged romp with Trump.

Stormy’s interview with Anderson Cooper wasn’t as much of a tell-all as some may have anticipated, but Daniels accused the president of having her physically threatened for coming forward with her story. In 2011, Daniels was interviewed by In Touch on her relationship with Trump, but the magazine backed off publishing the story until January 2018.

During Monday’s White House press briefing, administration spokesperson Raj Shah said that Trump contends Daniels’ claims of an affair are false.

“With respect to that interview, I will say the president strongly, clearly has consistently denied these underlying claims,” Shah said. “The only person who’s been inconsistent is the one making the claims.”

Daniels is now suing Cohen over claims of defamation.
