Hillary Clinton Wins Colorado
Colorado has nine electoral votes.
As of Monday afternoon, the RealClearPolitics average of the most recent Colorado polls showed Clinton with a 3.0-point lead in a two-way race, and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave Clinton a 74.8% percent chance of winning the state.
The polls close at 9 p.m eastern time (7 p.m. local). We will update with the reported results as soon as they come in.
Here’s how Colorado voted in the last four presidential elections:
2012: Democrat (51.5%)
2008: Democrat (53.7%)
2004: Republican (51.7%)
2000: Republican (50.8%)
UPDATE 4:22 PM ET: Per Votecastr, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump, 46% to 43%, with 80.3% of expected voters having already cast votes.
UPDATE 9:13 PM ET: With 18% reporting, the race is essentially tied, 46% to 46%. Trump leads by a little over 3,000 votes.
UPDATE 10:00 PM ET: Clinton holds a five point lead, 49% to 44%, with 45% reporting. Clinton leads by 78,000 votes.
UPDATE 10:31 PM ET: Fox News projects that Hillary Clinton wins the state of Colorado.
