Guys, Good News! Mike Huckabee’s Considering Rejoining The 2012 Race! (UPDATE: Or Not)

Well, someone has to address the elephant in the room. I know what you’re all thinking. It’s clear. Obviously, everyone knows the big problem with the GOP’s 2012 contender selection: There aren’t enough candidates! Fortunately, Mike Huckabee may have heard the call as sources have said that he is considering rejoining the race.

The big question here, of course, is whether this means there will be no more Ted Nugent duets or a lot more Ted Nugent duets?

The report comes from Reuters who apparently heard this from two sources close to the former governor:

“‘He is entertaining the request for conversations about it,’ one of the sources said. ‘I do not think it is a complete 100 percent ‘I’m reconsidering’ but he hasn’t shut the door on it.’”

In case you forgot, after a long time of dragging out the question, Huckabee unequivocally said “no” last May in an episode of his Fox News show that, yes, ended with him jamming out with Nugent.

Guys, fingers crossed this means Trump is coming back too!

UPDATE: Bad news, guys. It turns out the rumor was just that. Huckabee will not be running in 2012.

Oh, well. At least we can cheer ourselves up by going to a free Radiohead show, right? Whoo!

Wait, what? Dammit!

    And Ted Nugent for VP!

And remember, folks.   I called it first.   :-)

Mike Huckabee the musician/entertainer is a politician ?

  • Laurence Glavin

Just SAYING he’s “rethinking” (and for Huckabee, just THINKING is a stretch) joining the Republican presidential field endangers his paycheck from the Fox Right-Wing Propaganda Network.  Isn’t he in the process of building a new house in Florider?

who could’ve predicted? oh wait I did

Christie? Now Huckabee?  The GOP is a bunch of chubby chasers.

  • Pablo’s Ex Husband

Go ahead jump in. You’ve earned your chops working at the Republican Party network Fox so called News.

All I know is that I wish Sean Penn would run instead of Obama.  Penn is fixing Egypt right now as we post!

This picture and article are great.  He is a real leader.

Holy bad Photoshop, Batman, that was lame.

We all know if Sean Penn was a wingnut he’d be on every Fox show. Instead they have to settle for the star of “Anaconda” (Jon Voight)

    Who says it’s a photoshop?

Everybody sees how easy it is to beat nObama in 2012. That’s why they’re jumping in like fishes. I hear Joe the Plumber is pulling together a team for a run himself!

With his approval ratings down in the 39% range, Dear Leader, The Messiah,  is in BIGGGG trouble.

  • TbagsRstupid

    yeah

Joe the Plumber/Tito the Builder 2012

    oooooh

    BIGGGG trouble

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JUT2TATEV3OHGQ7HZRYN472XVM Felix

yeah 39% approval rating — BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG trouble

  • TbagsRstupid

Things got worse for Reagan in 1982. The public’s view of the
economy remained sour, and the president’s ratings during 1982
stayed concomitantly low, in the 40% range, ending the year at 41%.
The 1982 midterm elections were not good ones for Reagan and for
the GOP. The Republicans lost about 25 seats in the House.

1983 began for Reagan with a 35% job approval
rating — the worst of his administration

Actually you have NO ONE.. Willard’s not party of the tea party heck he’s not even really a conservative …. Just look at his record. HA!  Sure he can beat Obama and he’s the only one who can.. But if or when he beats Obama he’ll stop answering the teabaggers calls immediately…

    That’s heavy, Doc.

    and now this

Chris Wallace Praises President Obama’s War On Terror During Fox News Segment

First Roger Ailes move the more centrist, now the give kudos to Obama.

    Even Fox……

Yup, and when it comes to politics he always plays to the bass!

  • Josh-gladstone

    Who is Willard?

  • Roger_Fails

And yet even at 39% approval and with a weak economy, Obama still beats every one of the Republicans in nearly every poll. That sure ain’t a good omen!

I was worried for a second there!! I thought if Huckabee had re-entered the Presidential race, he would have to quit playing bass guitar with the band on his show!! And who would want that!! Excellent move on Huckabee’s part to reconsider and keep the band together!!

It looks like the Republicans have to go to the bullpen again.  Huckleberry Hound’s Multi-million dollar house is nearly finished, so his heart “pocketbook” might be saying to get in the race since Perry and Mitt have already been rung up a few times.    I bet Karl gave him a little nudge.   By December they will have 15 people on the stage.  The’ll just have to take a number.

That’s 36% approval, and Obama loses to “generic Republican” in every poll. On top of that, 44% currently say they won’t vote to re-elect him while his positive re-elect numbers are also in the low 30s.

Then there’s the possibility of the Bradley effect. There may be a number of “supporters” who will never admit they don’t like the job he’s doing because they’re afraid of being called racists (wonder where they’d get that idea) but will let their displeasure with his disastrous leadership be known when they’re in the privacy of the voting booth.

Felix, I hope you don’t mind if we still go through the formality of an actual election before you guys start remodeling the oval office.

  • Bob Uda

Like Chris Christie, should he throw his hat into the ring, it would be a huge strategic error.  They both would lose jumping in at this late date.

    Mike Huckabee is
in the same League as Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, he is a great
entertainer. He will be better off if he knows when he is well off. We all need
to know when to be satisfied especially these three. They have it made today,
if they don’t know it, they will know it once they make a drastic change. It is
hard to recapture your niche once you jump out of the groove.

Another zealot that pimps spin to the old and uninformed and mis-qoutes records! Come on in!

  • Djbynum02

Huckabee is a right wing religious zealot and doesn’t deserve to be President. America does not want a theological society.

OH Gawd.  Here we go again.  Another idiot who will mix more twisted skewed fundamentalist religious ideologies with twisted skewed political ideologies.  Huckabee even claims to have been a minister and yet this talking head does not even realize or understand that mormonism is a cult and not a religion.  But then, one of the biggest secrets with these GOP cowards who mix their twisted religious views with their twisted political views is the very fact that the mormon cult is more in alignment with the one world religion they slam and fear the most which is Islam.

Ever been to a Tea Party event? I have in D.C. and did not see or hear racial or hateful voices. Please don’t condemn all even if there is a small minority of those involved.

  • Ppippens

People thay comment on other people, issues or religions without being knowledgeable of those are the reason we are in serious trouble politically. Liberals and Conservatives need to KNOW what they are talking about and vote for the person most likely to get up out of a hole dug deeper and deeper by both parties, not just the one that offers lip service the best. I am listening, researching and paying attention to all political candidates even tho it is early.
