O’Reilly Dishes on Fox Colleagues, Which Ones Are ‘Obama Bashers’
Bill O’Reilly appeared at the 92nd Street Y last night for a conversation with Geraldo Rivera about the state of American politics, but O’Reilly also took some time to go down the list of Fox News anchors and personalities, sharing his thoughts on each one of them and where they’re coming from politically.
O’Reilly singled out Fox News anchors like Bill Hemmer and Bret Baier for not having an agenda in their work, and said Megyn Kelly isn’t ideological either. And of all three Fox & Friends hosts, O’Reilly pointed to Steve Doocy as the only “Obama basher” there (Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Brian Kilmeade, he said, would “rather whip up a soufflé.”)
He identified both Shepard Smith and Greta Van Susteren as liberals, while distinguishing himself from the conservative Neil Cavuto and Sean Hannity by touting his independent streak and how much right-wing talk radio hates him.
O’Reilly snarked that CNN doesn’t have “flamboyant obnoxious people” like Fox, and took a few shots at Hillary Clinton and her likely 2016 Republican rivals.
Update- 1:43 p.m.: Here’s video of O’Reilly talking about his Fox colleagues, via 92nd Street Y:
