Report: US Weekly Paid Six Figures For Bristol & Levi, But Reality TV Show A Flop

» 7 comments

Apparently Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are more interesting on the printed page than they are in reality. Reality TV that is. The New York Post is reporting that the newly reunited “young adults” were paid $100,000 for last week’s bombshell US Weekly cover story, though the magazine is denying the amount is accurate.

Perhaps the cash will assuage the disappointment over the lack of interest in Palin and Johnston’s long-rumored reality show. The Post is also reporting the two have been shopping the show about their upcoming wedding and life together to little fanfare.

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are hoping to launch a reality show about their upcoming wedding and life as newlyweds with son, Tripp, 2. But network honchos aren’t enthusiastic. “Don’t think we should do it. Neither of them have personalities,” said one cable honcho…But Levi will bring in his sister and other relatives to make it work.

Should any of this be true the solution seems obvious to me: someone needs to approach Kathy Griffin about reality nanny duties.

    hey MediaITE, Journalism 101 – name your source….otherwise don’t print stuff; As Sarah says, “quit making things up”

    Reality show = fiction, no sources
    $100k paid = fiction, no sources
    MediaITE = no credibility

    Journalisms 201 = TWO+ sources before ya print it

    This is really exciting news! Well, actually, not really. Btw, this is off-topic, but why isn’t Mediaite, or any news outlet, for that matter, making an effort to mention the “Illegal Immigrant Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996″ (“IIRIRA 96″), which was signed by Bill Clinton? The law is presently still in effect and must be enforced by AG Holder, unless/until the law is changed. AG Holder should be held accountable, for not performing his duties as charged in this law. Since Holder likely will be instructed by the courts, in the case against AZ, that the feds are responsible for enforcing these laws, I’m quite sure the courts will also instruct Holder, to begin enforcing current law immediately. Are the Clintons even familiar with this law, now? Or Holder? LOL. Hopefully, AZ will remind the Dems of the current immigration reform laws.

    Hard to understand. This duo should fit perfectly into the current Murcuhn mindset & mentality.

    I can’t blame them for trying to cash in on their 15 minutes. Fuck it. Hell, I know i would. I’d be dancing with the stars or soliciting brides on reality TV at this point were I in their shoes. Why the hell not?

    Why it’s shocking to any American that people will make a spectacle of their lives for cold hard affluence is beyond me.
