Sarah Ferguson’s Very Sad (And Sort Of Endearing) Interview With Oprah

video

Poor Sarah Ferguson. Ferguson appeared on Oprah to explain how exactly she landed herself in the midst of a tabloid scandal for attempting to sell access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew for thousands of dollars.

The resulting interview was sort of painful to watch in so far as Ferguson is clearly a woman who is not in control of her life. She told Oprah she was drunk when the encounter took place, but that that was no excuse, and the she hoped this incident will free “Sarah from the treadmill of her life.” Ferguson spoke about herself in the third person a number of times during the interview, most notably (and alarmingly) after watching — for the first time — the News of World video of her encounter with the undercover reporter.

That Oprah had a great deal of sympathy for her subject was evident, but even more evident was Oprah’s amazement over the dire state of Ferguson’s finances: her expression of disbelief that the Duchess of York had agreed to a $20,000/year divorce settlement was priceless. In fact Ferguson’s lack of finance remained a theme for the hour. Watch some highlights below.

You got to love the liberal media, who shows sympathy and victimizes people like Fergie, but will , mock and ridicule Conservative woman.

Bollocks! Sarah Ferguson got a settlement worth quite a lot more than $20K per month. She’s racked up more than 3 million pounds, a house, and trust funds for her daughters. It’s a sad state she’s gotten herself into but it isn’t right to portray her as so destitute either.

yeah, this drunk’s sob story is so endearing. She went through $5 million and she is a victim in lib land.

It’s good that she’s doing Oprah and I assume other shows to try and salvage her reputation, plus it plants a nice little seed of reminder that she’s out there in case anyone is looking for a face and who knows, perhaps Andrew or the Queen could slip her a few bucks.

What I think is important that Oprah may or may not have mentioned in another segment, but what she tried to “sell” isn’t illegal and in fact, purchasing the services of a local consultant to point directions and facilitate introductions is actually standard operating procedure for a lot of industries.

It’s one of the tools of business, both foreign and domestic.
