In Tight Race For Second At 10 P.M., CNN’s Cooper Wins In Demo, MSNBC’s Schultz Wins Total Audience

 

Cable news ratings, May 11, 2011:

•The fight among cable news shows at 10 o’clock continues to be the most competitive, with Fox’s On the Record taking first place Wednesday night, with 374,000 viewers. CNN’s Anderson Cooper was second among viewers 25-54 (257,000), narrowly beating MSBNC’s Ed Schultz (251,000). Among total viewers, The Ed Show takes second place (811,000) ahead of AC 360 (805,000).

•At HLN, the recently-launched Dr. Drew continues to struggle, finding itself with the lowest-rated hour (in demo and total viewers) on HLN Wednesday night. Dr. Drew had 76,000 viewers 25-54, putting the show in a distant fourth place at 9 p.m., dropping more than 40 percent of the audience from its lead-in, Nancy Grace (114,000).
