Oops! Newser’s Michael Wolff Is Mistakenly Brought On The BBC To Discuss…Baseball?

Last week, there was a bit of an on-air flub on BBC’s World News channel that somehow escaped the blooper-happy eye of the Internet. However, today, the clip went viral and it went viral hard. For good reason too. You haven’t seen hilarious until you’ve seen Michael Wolff, intending to be interviewed in his role as Rupert Murdoch biographer, instead getting caught up in a segment about baseball. Seriously, this is great.

In the clip, the BBC anchor attempts to throw to a live feed of Ben Walker, baseball editor for the Associated Press talking Roger Clemens. Instead, Wolff pops up. Understandably, Wolff stays silent for a few seconds. The anchor, thinking there’s a satellite malfunction, attempts to apologize to the audience. Wolff, realizing what’s going on, informs him the problem is a bit larger.

Today, as the video shoots around the web, Wolff’s been having a bit of fun on Twitter:

The whole thing’s pretty great. Watch a high quality version of the clip below:

That is hilarous I agree, I would also like to note that it is hilarously ironic that Clemens is being brought up on charges of lying to congress, who makes it a daily practice, a prefunctionary duty of membership if you will, to lie to the American people…

Fact: UK BBC news is always ran like Monty Python show.

Perhaps he was brought on to discuss S.F. Giant, Aubrey Huff”s red rally thong. I’m sure he was a big fan.

It’s like watching a turtle being asked to perform ballet.

LOL! This is funnnnneeeeee! It’s good to know the BBC is as human as everybody else. This was priceless!

I hardly think so-Wolff knows baseball the way Obama knows baseball-LMFAO! heheheheheheheheh!

Bill is starting to really get on my nerves! Especially when he says ” I dont think Obama had anything to do with it” Obama is the one that orchestrates everything. He is from Chicago after all. Bill always defends him because he wants another interview. His head is so up Obamas @$& that he can’t see the sun comme up.
