You and your union thug friends lost , Schultz . You wasted 30 million dollars of the members money .

Maybe they could spend it better than the crooks can .

  • Eric

What a disgrace to real journalism. Ed Schultz’s disturbing
“election-night-coverage-as-pep-rally” last night.  Why only a story about the rating? This is a Media site
    isn’t it?  I would think that a so-called news organization’s BLATANTLY
BIASED coverage of an election would be a worthy topic, No?   How about
the crowd cheering/booing, the insinuations of voter fraud, etc etc
etc?  Anyone that says NBC/MSNBC isn’t biased and outright cheerleading
for 0bama, DNC, unions, etc is a flat-out liar.  Last night ends the
    conversation, NBC is officially Democrat-TV.

This is what democracy looks like!

4-2 baby. And we should for 1-2 next week.

Bring it on, unions. Bring it on!

I guess this is the closest we get to an article on the Wisconsin election results on Mediaite.  Then again, if the Democrats and big labor hadn’t suffered such an embarrassing defeat, this would have been a huge story in the mainstream media.

This is the single biggest problem with the mainstream media: they filter out stories they don’t like, as if they can make them go away by ignoring them.  This forces everyone who wants to follow the news — whether they are liberal, moderate or conservative — to turn to the few news outlets that don’t play these political games with their coverage.

  • Anonymous

Wasting money is a recurring trend in the unions. Remember how much money they wasted in the 2010 elections? Funny stuff.

  • BR

Liberals need to realize just how insignificant they have become.  Your roar is now a whisper.  Go away now…….

  • Rio

Congratulations on your big win!  Have been reading through Althouse periodically yesterday and today, comments have been fun with a few hints about what next week may bring.  Good chance to pick up one and the other is within the margin of error.  We shall see, anyway, Wisconsin is the winner in this election and it’s citizens have the Governor and his supporters to thank!

  • Anonymous

Yes, MSNBC had a stellar night . It’s best ever!

And yet, it still lost to the non-prime-time FOX show “The5″ and EVERY OTHER FOX SHOW!!!

  • Anonymous

    BTW- great breaking news:

“The George Lopez Show” has been canceled effective this Thursday!

Sorry,  George, but America got tired of your liberal hate, bigotry and racism. Next stop? Taco Bell!

  • Michelle

Marky Mark, after that headline, I expected to find out that FOX was knocked out of 1st place.  Nope, still on top!!

Wisconsin Recall election coverage on Tuesday night was the biggest test for Phil Griffin’s MSNBC, ‘a place where liberals would go for news’. MSNBC failed, along with its designated hitters: Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton, and Lawrence O’Donnell. Biased performance of Ed Schultz was totally disgraceful.
MSNBC failed miserably in their quest to beat FNC as well as influence the Wisconsin voters. Of course, the biggest loser was of the ’Public Employee’ Unions. People of Wisconsin were the only winners and voted for the best interest of Wisconsin, a balanced budget, and jobs.

  • Anonymous

The biggest night in recent “progressive” history and this is the best MSNBC could do?
You would think that every “prog” that couldn’t be there in person would be watching the channel that gave the recall the most tv coverage.
I guess this just proves that, 1. progressiveism is a smaller minority than once thought.
    2. Progressivism and their fake causes is just simply not taken seriously by rational people.

ps. Why is there no coverage of the failed( lol, failure, a word synonymous with “progressive”) recall in Wisconsin here on Mediaite?

    RESIST WE MUCH!

“Hosts on FOX raise money on the air for Republican candidates. They endorse them explicitly. They use their FOX News profile to headline fundraisers. … They can do that because there`s no rule against that at FOX. They run as a political operation. We`re not.”

    Rachel Maddow
    Nov 2011

And once again, Rachel seems to not know of Ed Schultz’s existence…

…much like the rest of humanity.

And KO- who was suspended for his Dem contributions!

I watched this for about 30 minutes last night and was amazed.  It was an all-union pep-rally, with repeated interviews with giddy recall voters, a panel of sychophants arranged in semi-circle, and a cheering throng with banners and placards.  And this was ELECTION COVERAGE!  I mean if they want to squawk about Fox supporting Tea Party rallies favorably the equal would be supportive coverage by MSNBC of the protests at the Winsconsin capital a few months back.  But for a news outlet to cover an election like this was repugnant.  The amazing aspect is that no one else in media circles seems bothered at all by this.

I love it, Beck’s old time slot beats all of MS NoBodyCares’s entire prime time lineup.

So too did O’Reilly’s repeat; Fat Head was LIVE from the union hall and lost to a repeat on FOX!

Congratulations to the patriots of Wisconsin and their fiscal savior, Governor Walker.  If formerly loony Wisconsin can take their collective heads out of their bum, maybe there’s hope for my state too.  After all, we just jettisoned our sex harrassing, costume wearing, Congressman, David Wu.

  • http://www.constitutionallibertarian.co.cc/ DavidKramer

    Attention all union members!

If you do not like what your union does with your union dues, you have the right to donate all your money to a charity instead of paying your union dues. This goes for all union members, be they private or public. If you want more information on this, just give me a comment and I will provide with links to the information.

FOX is on basic or bottom tier of tv programing so they have larger audience availability. MSNBC is on a higher priced tier.

  • Anonymous

    Sure they are ;)

  • James R

FOX—The 5 at five, kicked every single ass on MSNBC, CNN and HLN in both categories
    evey hour.
THAT my friend is the unwritten Headline but it is hard in the text hide it when you can read the numbers.
I thought O’Donnell, Fat Eddie, Al Shopton, and Tingles was going to meet for a circle jerk
after Wisconsin polls closed last night they were so sure they were going to brag about the
    Democrat VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something didn’t add up, did it. boys???

  • Anonymous

Actually MSNBC had years of a head start on Fox, and Fox had a protracted battle with Time-Warner just to be included on their cable systems for a very long time. The numbers in actuality should be switched based on the history, but MSNBC has been a laggard for years now.

  • Kelc

Union’s like Obama look weak. They also with help from the libs try to primary 10 dems that didn’t vote for Obamacare and lost 9 out of 10 of those races in 2010.Unions bark is a lot worse then their bite.

  • ImNotBlue

    Wrong.

  • ImNotBlue

Very true.  That’s when she made that bogus speech… in “defense” of KO.

  • http://twitter.com/Staciisa_bitch Staci Chase

    Go Maddow… you rock!!!

  • Michelle

Yawn.  FOX is #1.  Deal with it!

  • Michelle

    Not according to the ratings.

for a website about media and news, your lack of coverage about The Five’s amazing numbers is really striking.   If it were an MSNBC or CNN show, mediaite would have tons of stories about its huge ratings.

Btw, that’s why everyoe can see media bias so clearly, and in turrn why credibility is low.

This post isn’t directed at Mark, but at mediate in general.  The Five’s ratings are a huge hit, but you wouldn’t know it from mediaite.

Go Team!!! Darling held on by thousands of votes, and we only lost 2 seats!
Employment is booming all over the state, and Scott Walker has saved Wisconsin with his model legislation.
Who needs those cry baby Socialist teachers!!!  Wisconsin unemployment will be below 5 percent before the year is over, now that the job creators are in charge.

I have to admit that I tuned in to see how the Marxists at MSNBC were going to try and spin the defeat. After 1 minute of Ed Schultz (MSNBC’s resident hate-monger) I had to change the channel.  Dinner didn’t taste the same coming up as it did going down.
