‘That’s Literally a Picture of Him Surrendering!’ Trump Fan Confronted Outside Rally Over His ‘Never Surrender’ T-Shirt
An interviewer confronted a supporter of ex-President Donald Trump outside a rally over his “Never Surrender!” t-shirt, which featured Trump’s mugshot from when he surrendered for arrest.
Davram Stiefler is one-half of the viral prank comedy duo “The Good Liars” — the other half is his partner Jason Selvig — and together they’ve spent years pulling politically-oriented pranks and creating viral moments on both sides of the aisle.
Stiefler and Selvig are also practitioners of the Trump-fan-on-the-street interview that has also become the mainstay of folks like CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper, and especially the pro-Trump outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN).
Stiefler showed up outside Trump’s speech in Iowa this week and confronted a Trump fan over his self-contradictory criminal arrest swag:

DAVRAM STIEFLER: So what is that?
TRUMP FAN: That’s the best president, the United States.
DAVRAM STIEFLER: All right. That’s Donald Trump with his mugshot, right? Says “never surrender?”.
TRUMP FAN: Never surrender!
DAVRAM STIEFLER: Okay. That is a picture of him surrendering to Georgia authorities, though, right?
TRUMP FAN: Fair. He’s the best president of America.
DAVRAM STIEFLER: Okay. But that literally IS a picture of him surrendering, right?
TRUMP FAN: Yes.
DAVRAM STIEFLER: Okay.
TRUMP FAN: Yep.
A little over a month ago, Trump became the first U.S. president to pose for a mugshot as he was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia on 13 counts related to election crimes in a sweeping RICO case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
Upon its release, Trump’s mugshot immediately became the featured image on a cornucopia of campaign merchandise — most of which bore the you-had-one-job-level slogan “Never Surrender.”
But the shirt and other mugshot-related merchandise has become ubiquitous on the supporters who line up for Trump rallies.
