Greg Gutfeld: Liberals Mocked Fox News for Covering Benghazi So Much, But Russia ‘Is Their Benghazi’

On The Five today, Greg Gutfeld said that for liberals, Russia “is their Benghazi.”

The hosts talked about how Russia coverage continues as the investigations remain underway, and Jesse Watters said he wants to see all the information come out, but added it should happen “quickly.”

Gutfeld said “everybody wants this story to move on” except for the “election losers,” before making this observation:

“Remember they ruthlessly attacked Fox News and they ruthlessly attacked the Republicans over dwelling on Benghazi, in which four Americans died and it was blamed… on a movie. Everybody was mocked. There were comedy shows, Colbert, they showed the flaming cars and they’d be making jokes about ‘Why are you spending so much time? Move along, nothing happened there, move along.’ But now, this is their Benghazi, right? This is their thing. It’s paper-thin, but they’re clutching on it hard.”

And the longer they cling to it, he added, “the better it is for Russia.”
