CNN’s Don Lemon: Trump’s ‘Not Aware of His Insensitivity Towards Race’

CNN’s Don lemon spoke with Dan Rather today and talked about Donald Trump‘s beliefs on the issue of race.

He said, “I think Donald Trump believes as much as he can that he’s not racist. I think that he is not aware of his insensitivity towards race and towards people of color. And you don’t know what you don’t know.”

Lemon, who has asked Trump before if he’s a racist, said Trump’s birther answers last night was not just “insulting” to black people, but to “all thinking people.”

“If he was reaching out to people of color last night,” Lemon said, “he did the reverse.”

Lemon added that he can’t say one way or the other whether Trump’s a racist.
