Gawker Drama Gets Taiwanese Animation Treatment, Complete with Gun-Toting Babies
Gawker’s internal drama has gotten the Taiwanese animation treatment, with some not-so-subtle commentary about the whole mess.
In case you haven’t heard, Gawker posted a very questionable piece about a Conde Nast executive being in contact with a gay porn star. It was pretty strongly condemned online as having zero news value, and the post was pulled entirely.
The pulling of the post became another source of tension at Gawker, and staffers publicly expressed their outrage at the company’s business side for pulling the post. Two Gawker editors even resigned in protest.
But the team behind this new animation doesn’t see any winners here. They portray the Gawker writers as gun-toting babies “griping about editorial independence after showing they couldn’t be trusted with it.”
