Although there has been some hopeful speculation about Bernie Sanders catching up to Hillary Clinton and beating her soundly in South Carolina — especially after his win in New Hampshire — Clinton has done as polls predicted and won the South Carolina primary.
Clinton may be able to attribute some of her success in the state to Sanders, however, since pressure from his supporters has caused her to begin parroting some of his talking points.
It would appear that though their messages are growing increasingly similar, but Clinton has managed to keep the upper hand by appealing to the voters of South Carolina more than Sanders.
