Both of Arizona’s Republican senators have now weighed in on President Trump‘s decision to pardon former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Jeff Flake, currently up for reelection, tweeted out a milder critique:
Regarding the Arpaio pardon, I would have preferred that the President honor the judicial process and let it take its course.

John McCain was more blunt in his response, saying that it “undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law”:
