Surprise! Tina Fey’s ‘Desperate’ Revival of Sarah Palin Did Not Sit Well With Daughter Bristol
Tina Fey‘s impression of Sarah Palin has been legendary for years, so naturally, Saturday Night Light welcomed the veteran back again this past weekend to parody the recent rambling endorsement of Donald Trump.
Of course, not everyone was enthused to see Fey’s revived act, and Palin’s daughter Bristol took to her blog to dig at Fey’s “pathetic” take on her mom’s looks, as well as her “desperate” performance.
“I may be biased, but I think my mom trumps her in the looks department,” Palin wrote. “Saturday Night Live and Fey have been clinging to this impersonation a little too long. It’s getting pathetic. Its been 7 years! Are they desperate for content? Or just desperate for viewers?”
Since Palin’s piece is titled “POLL: Who Wore It Better – Sarah Palin or Tina Fey?” she at least complimented the show on getting her mom’s now infamous beaded jacket right, even if Fey’s “fake accent is like nails on a chalkboard” to her. Unfortunately for Palin though, MSNBC noted how it seems that over 80 percent of her readers thought that Fey managed to work the look a bit better than the former Alaska governor.
UPDATE – 1:54 P.M. EST Palin has updated her blog, removing the poll without posting the final results. Where the poll was, there is a brief message in its place.
Thanks for voting! The poll is now closed!
