‘There Has to Be a Balance!’: The View Panel Blows Up Over Trump Administration Deregulations

Things got heated between Jedediah BilaSunny Hostin, and Whoopi Goldberg on today’s episode of The View.

The panelists were discussing Donald Trump‘s voters when Joy Behar made a quip about how none of them seem to want clean air and water. She was referring to a number of actions taken by current lawmakers to repeal regulations on things like stream waste, among others.

Bila shook her head and said, “That’s not a fair argument. That’s not fair. One talking point people say — Republicans don’t like clean water or air. That’s not true. There’s a lot of people that are fighting to… ”

She was interrupted by explosive chatter.

” …you have tons of people throughout the country who are trying to protect their jobs!” she finished.

Hostin jumped in with, “He just deregulated. He just allowed dumping in our streams!”

Bila countered that “excessive regulation puts people out of work,” and when Hostin responded, Goldberg interrupted to explain that the original regulations were put in place because companies weren’t looking out for their workers in the first place.
