WATCH: Trump Tours Florida After Hurricane Irma LIVE STREAM

President Trump is in Florida today in order to assess the damage Hurricane Irma caused over the weekend.

Am leaving now for Florida to see our GREAT first responders and to thank the U.S. Coast Guard, FEMA etc. A real disaster, much work to do!

Senator Marco Rubio and Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi are greeting the president in Fort Myers, and Trump will coordinate his tour with Florida Gov. Rick Scott as he meets with first responders. Trump is expected to survey disaster areas and hold meetings about how to address the ongoing emergency situation during today’s visit.

Trump’s visit to Florida comes as his administration faces a flurry of intrigue due to his reported agreement with Congressional Democrats. The deal reportedly involves protection for DREAMers, as well as border security measures that do not include a wall to seal off Mexico.

Even though Trump tried to walk things back this morning on Twitter, he told reporters that “the wall will come later,” and he hinted that the border wall will amount to expansions and renovations for barriers that already exist
