White House Condemns Paris ‘Terrorist Attacks’

 

President Barack Obama condemned the attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo Wednesday morning as a “terrorist attack.”

The spree left at least one dozen dead, and the gunmen were reportedly heard to shout “we have avenged the prophet,” possibly in response to controversial Muhammed caricatures the magazine had run.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this terrorist attack and the people of France,” Obama said in a statement Wednesday morning. “France, and the great city of Paris where this outrageous attack took place, offer the world a timeless example that will endure well beyond the hateful vision of these killers.”
