Fox Segment Turns Fiery After Guest Recalls Trump’s Nick Fuentes Meeting: ‘You Just Called Republicans Nazis!’

Sparks flew during the tail end of a Fox News segment on Monday after a Democratic guest accused Donald Trump of spewing “racist” conspiracy theories and “having dinner with Nazis.”

Fox News host Harris Faulkner had on network contributor Tammy Bruce and Jonathan Kott, a former communications director for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), for the segment and at one point attention turned to a Saturday Night Live sketch that poked fun at President Joe Biden’s advanced age amid polling showing concern he’s too old for the job.

Kott argued he’d rather have a president that misspeaks than a racist.

“I can only tell you what my former bosses who have met with him, publicly and privately, say. He takes meetings long into the night. He’s on top of everything. He’s very detail-oriented,” Kott said. “He’s never had a note card in any one of those meetings, and I will say this, I would rather have a president who maybe has a stutter once in awhile than one who spews conspiracy theory, racist nonsense and has dinner with Nazis, so if given the choice between one or the other, I’m happy that Joe Biden might misspeak once in awhile when he’s trying to name a president.”

Faulkner jumped in to note that no one is targeting Biden over a stutter. She said it’s an “acuity issue.”

Bruce took aim at Kott’s mention of “Nazis,” leading to a heated back and forth between the two.

“Well, we just heard him call a number of Republicans Nazis and racists and I think we can put him of willing to go there —” Bruce said before Kott jumped in.

“I didn’t — hold on. I didn’t call Republicans Nazis. I said he had dinner with a Nazi,” Kott said.

Kott appears to be referencing Trump’s dinner with rapper Ye and white supremacist Nick Fuentes. Trump later said Ye, formerly Kanye West, who has his own history with prejudicial rants, had invited Fuentes to the dinner and he was unaware of who he was.

Bruce told Kott on Monday that the “personal” attacks against Republicans are “not working.”

“Tammy, Tammy, exactly what I said. He had dinner with a Nazi,” Kott said, continuing to deny making a blanket statement about Republicans. Kott did refer to “dinners with Nazis,” but later referenced just the infamous Fuentes dinner.

“I did say I had never heard you talk like that and, look, five seconds later I was wrong,” Faulkner told Kott as she closed out the segment.

“It’s desperation,” Bruce added.
