Maria Bartiromo left CNBC for Fox Business Network just a few months ago, but she’s been making appearances on her former network in the form of ads for hew new show Opening Bell. That’s right, Bartiromo is encouraging CNBC viewers to come over to FBN and watch her there instead.
The ads, according to Variety, have been purchased for the New York market on Time Warner Cable. Bartiromo makes a very direct pitch to viewers in the ads, telling them, “Come on over.” The spot is meant as a “change-of-address card” so fans of Bartiromo will know where and when to find her.
This isn’t the first time Fox Business Network has attempted this kind of ad campaign. In 2011 they bought ads airing on CNBC that directly criticized their network’s coverage of the U.S. credit downgrade.
