Bannon: ‘We Are Declaring War’ on GOP Establishment Not Backing Trump Agenda
After tearing into Bob Corker, Sean Hannity and Steve Bannon tonight discussed the broader battle between President Trump and the Republican establishment in Congress.
Bannon tonight reiterated what he said after leaving the White House––that he’s going to war for the President against that establishment.
And he told Hannity that “it is incumbent upon” Republican leaders to back Trump’s legislative agenda, confirming that “there’s a coalition coming together that’s gonna challenge every Republican incumbent except for Ted Cruz.”
Hannity said that the GOP establishment has “betrayed the American people” for years and asked Bannon, “Is this a fair statement? Is Steve Bannon declaring war on the establishment that are not for the working men and women in this country?”
“100 percent,” Bannon responded. “We are declaring war on the Republican establishment that does not back the agenda that Donald Trump ran on.”
