Fox News’ Ed Henry Hits Obama For ‘Playing Games’: He’s Comparing Trump to Hitler, ‘Just Say It!’

On Wednesday night, Fox News’ Ed Henry went after President Obama for recent criticisms he had made about the Trump presidency.

During a sit-down with Prince Harry, Obama made a somewhat subtle jab at President Trump over his use of Twitter. And earlier this month during a speaking engagement, Obama invoked Nazi Germany as a way to motivate people into not being “complacent” during this presidency and getting them to vote in future elections.

“Now, presume there was a ballroom here in Vienna in the late 1920s or 30s that looked pretty sophisticated and seemed as if it, filled with the music and art and literature and science that was emerging, would continue into perpetuity… And then 60 million people died. An entire world was plunged into chaos.”

Henry had a panel weigh in on Obama’s outspokenness about his successor, which the Fox News anchor notes that is something previous predecessors like President George W. Bush haven’t done. Political writer David Catanese pushed back, saying that Obama was “very sparing” since he never referred to Trump by name, but argued that Obama is “breaking precedent” because Trump himself is also “breaking precedent” with his attacks of his political opponents on Twitter.

“But if you’re Barack Obama and you want to deliver a punch, why not just say it?” Henry asked. “Why are you playing these games and saying that ‘the 1930s in Germany,’ he’s basically comparing this president to Hitler, to the Nazis. Say it!”

Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway pointed out what makes Trump and Obama different is that Trump is “more aggressive” while Obama is “passive aggressive” when it comes to their attacks.
