Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Hannity’s Double Standard Celebration of Trump’s Kanye Summit

As Jimmy Kimmel pointed out last night, it’s amusing how attitudes and opinions change under just the right political circumstances.

The ABC funnyman used a portion of his latest show to talk about the news that Kanye West will visit President Trump tomorrow for a chat over lunch on prison reform and gang violence. As he joked about the upcoming spectacle, Kimmel eventually took a swipe at Fox News host Sean Hannity over his double standards about decorum and who should receive the prestige of a White House invitation.

Kimmel recalled how Hannity raged against Barack Obama when the former president invited the rapper Common to the White House in 2011. Now that its Trump meeting West at the White House, however, Hannity is offering a much more positive reaction, saying America should support this since West is “taking a stand for freedom of thought and freedom of expression.”

“Good for Sean, he’s evolving, he really is,” Kimmel quipped.

Since Kimmel and Hannity are on-off nemeses of one another, it should be interesting to see if this is enough to restart their feud.
