Neil Cavuto Exasperated by Trump’s Comments on Russia, Mutters to Himself: ‘Stop Making it About Yourself’
Fox Business Network’s Neil Cavuto got a bit exasperated this afternoon as he discussed President Donald Trump’s reaction to the Russia investigation, particularly his tweets that claim Special Counsel Robert Mueller making several arrests means there was “no collusion.”
Cavuto pleaded with Trump to actually investigate Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election despite the investigation against his campaign — telling guest Philip Wegmann that if the president tackled the Russia problem, he would likely come out of it looking “like a hero.”
Wegmann suggested he could, essentially, kill two birds with one stone, if only he would seriously investigate Russian involvement in our election process.
“This is something that is a no-loss scenario for him, if he treats this issue seriously,” Wegmann said. “If he does that, then I think he can bolster himself, and his party, and maybe begin to put all of this behind him.”
Cavuto, however, had one simple suggestion for Trump.
“Just stop making it about yourself,” he said. “Me, me, me.”
The anchor then jokingly slammed his fists into the desk and said “It’s true. It’s our country, damn it.”
