Same old, same old. FOX is #1 at 1%. Blah, blah, blah. In school, that is failing.

If that’s failing… what does that make the rest?

And if only 1% watches, and that’s so meaningless… why do you bother commenting about it? Why bother with the poetry? Why bother with this site?

Seems like a lot of effort for just 1%, eh Kingy?

  • notsofast

No surprise. FOX continues to dominate the feeble attempts by libs to put forth a network challenge.

And yet you’re utterly obsessed with Fox. That’s weird.

Don’t be too rough on MSNBC, the first 15 minutes of Olbermann was good last night, for a change.

It’s like the Tea Partiers who believe 97% of all Americans show up at their rallies, simply because the Tea Partiers themselves are there. They need a dose of reality. The Phox Phans seem to think all America drops whatever it is doing to watch the Beckerhead. An amazingly small number of Americans watch anything on FOX. Just perspective ….

So you spend your valuable time (when you’re not “traveling” around the globe, or doing your job of “national importance”) providing reality to people who make up less than 1% of the population and watch FNC. Hmm… no, I still don’t quite see the logic.

Just answer it nice and simple… since 1% watches FNC on a given night, why do you spend so much of your time talking about them? What does that say about you, and how important you believe that 1% to truly be?

“THIS IS WHY THE KING SPEAKS:”

And you fill in the rest…

The King’s constant attempts to impress us with how smart and wealthy he is remind me of Fredo in The Godfather, when he pitifully insists “I’m smart! I can do things!” The difference is, Fredo was fictional, and the actor portraying him was only pretending to be pathetic.

I get a kick out of the meaningless ratings business that Mediaite keeps pushing. The reality is the many more people watch many other channels other than Fox. The people who watch Fox are the ideologically committed rightwing types who have nowhere else to go plus elderly or home bound people who will watch anything. Television is basically a wasteland with a few good programs on MSNBC, public television and, of course, C-Span. Fox does have one great program,The Simpsons, the rest is extremely biased rightwing nonsense.

Let’s see: King travels all around the world in his jet, but when he is home he is running his big giant buisness where everybody is very, very, happy.

His servants, er I mean workers love him so much for all the good things he bestows on them, they have his picture on their walls. Right above the dinner table so they can thank him for what they have received ( okay I made the last part up).

So why does somebody who has everything let a Newschannel that draws 1% drive him nuts? So much so he has to yell in caps.

Why does he go nuts about a little website run by some guy named Koldys? So much so he calls them names but never goes over there?

And since this person has such the perfect life, why does he get drivin’ to the point that he loses control over Blonde women? And yells temper tantrums like “Big-Boobed Blond Bimbo”.

Maybe his real name is Fredo.

  • writer

Why did someone who claims to love all minorities admit to going to lily white private schools? Why didn’t he insist on going to public ones, where he could rub elbows with all the people he so loves?

Wow! The vast majority of what you said is wrong and ignorant. I’ll quickly go through it for you:

    1) The ratings are the industry standard, Mediaite only republishes them
    2) Many people watch many things, however when it comes to the category of “cable news” most people watch FNC.
    3) FNC has a bigger variety ideologically of viewers than either of the other cable networks.
    4) FNC’s average audience age is only slightly older than that of CNN and MSNBC (FNC 65, CNN 63, MSNBC 59), yet still wins handily in the demo ratings.
    5) There is a difference between “FOX” and “FOX News Channel,” it appears you think they’re the same.

And there’s your list… without getting into the obvious hypocrisy and political motivations in calling out FNC’s “rightwing nonsense,” yet supporting MSNBC leftwing “nonsense.” Next time, you can be more correct in posting!

  • felixw

Royal King, I’m sorry that your slogans seem to be having no dent in Fox’s ratings. Then again, maybe you should reconsider basing your political ideology on nursery rhymes. I mean, it’s just a suggestion…..if you can’t come up with anything more grown-up, we will all understand.

“I get a kick out of the meaningless ratings business that Mediaite keeps pushing. The reality is the many more people watch many other channels other than Fox. ”

Well, I don’t know. FOX (as you say) is hitting the top these days in the Broadcast buisness. FOX (as you say), has Football, lot’s of show that bring in big ratings. I would say that FOX (as you say) pretty much does okay these days.

Television is basically a wasteland with a few good programs on MSNBC, public television and, of course, C-Span. Fox does have one great program,The Simpsons, the rest is extremely biased rightwing nonsense.

Now since you are talking FOX (as you say) against MSNBC, public television (PBS I do believe it’s called) C-SPAN.

NOW! MSNBC? Well FNC beats them so why compare them to FOX? PBS? well they don’t take ratings they just take the taxpayers money and put on what they feel, not what the Public wants. Which has always begged the question. What if PBS went commercial, how would they do against CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX?

And let’s not forget C-SPAN. I believe C-SPAN is a needed channel. But let’s not kid ourselves C-SPAN like PBS is paid by taxpayer money and a MUST CARRY on all cable systems.

So the answer your question, YES! many people watch other channels other then (as you say) FOX. BUT! Many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many watch (as you say) FOX then MSNBC, PBS, C-SPAN.

I do agree that people should check in with C-Span at least once a day to see what their Government is really up to.

One last thing you said, “Fox does have one great program,The Simpsons, the rest is extremely biased rightwing nonsense.”

American Idol is extremely biased rightwing nonsense? Who knew?

Took a ride out to see the newest addition to the Fox Team on Saturday night – Larry Gaitlin & his Bros.
Along with Andy Cooney, it was a Great Concert, and Larry’s pretty funny mixing it up with the audience, as well.

There weren’t a whole lot of Obama supporters there – even amongst the Union Teachers with us – but there were a whole bunch of people that can’t wait for Nov. 2!!!

Of course, I remained as impartial as ever whenever the discussion turned to politics – “Fair & Balanced” like a FOX!

  • timzank

ganymede…this is a media site, they gather and aggregate stories that happen in the media. The reason you see so many references (stories) about FNC and MSNBC and CNN here is because the regular evening big 3 (ABC/CBS/NBC)are all identical and boring as hell.

  • Icanadd

For those that feel Faux News dominance in one on one comparisons with the various other media is indicative of total public opinion need to remember, that FOX News is in fact the ONLY network rightwingers and Republicans watch for “news”…EVER. The mainstream viewer looking for information has the option of watching: CNBC MSNBC CNN CBS NBC or ABC among others. (and often do.) When this is taken into consideration, , those ratings are pretty meaninless, dont you think?

  • Grey Eagle

You left wingers sound like you are getting paid to quip this dribble.

So what you’re saying is that everything else leans to the left, so that’s why folks tune into FNC, because it leans to the right.

Of course, you really can’t compare the broadcast networks to the cable networks… the sheer penetration of those networks makes the comparison foolish. But since FNC often beats CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and HLN… combined… doesn’t that suggest disprove your theory?

I get sick and tired of righties idiots saying “fox news tells the truth” when it’s proven to be 100 percent bullcrap and lies! The exact bullcrap spewed by the news network that won the right to lie and misintrept the news in 2003 and their using that constantly every day!

And where are your bona fides? You don’t have to answer because you haven’t any.

Just because a person does not like what is reported does not negate its truthfulness.

I do not always like what is reported on FNC–some of it is quite distrurbing and I wish it were not so–but the reason for the success of FNC is that people are starved for the truth and will go to the source of truth at every opportunity.

typical right-wing denial. the proof is in the pudding and you keep repeating that crap about fox news “fair and balanced” when they truly aren’t. there’s a little thing fox news never do and it’s called “factchecking”. the truth is faux news lies on a daily basis.

Let’s give Olbermann his due. He actually called Brown “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea-bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”
