I’m simply amazed. FOX’s sponsorship of the (White) Tea Party seemed ill-advised, but here is the proof it was not. Ratings beats out journalistic ethics everytime!

This is news? You throw the pork to the dogs where they are – Palin fans watch Fox Not News.

  • felixw

Once again, the Left focuses on skin color. Whenever it is mentioned in any political rant, you can be sure it’s coming out of the mouth of a Democrat.

  • The Real Royal King

Felix W: In case you don’t know, white is also a type of tea.

  • Jim R

Sure glad we had round the clock coverage of this 600 people event! Let’s change our system government to their demands or we all die!

  • ImNotBlue

The only reason FNC dominated the coverage is because it was on a day ending in “Y.”

As the records show, whenever there is breaking news (or even when there’s not), and it’s a day ending in “Y,” FNC dominates the coverage.

And Felix… Royal is a proud racist, just as Bill is a proud anti-Semite… but somehow I doubt that pointing these things out changes much.

Royal does indeed seem to carry an animus toward the white race. Hating someone for their color isn’t racism, as long as the color is white. (Stereotyping is okay, too. Especially if the white person is also from the south. And if they’re white, southern, and Christian, you’ve got the trifecta. Stereotype away!!!)

I saw that during the Drop Out Governor’s speech and Q&A there were a number of empty seats. I even heard more seats were removed before the speech to give the venue the appearance of being filled. So, I nearly blew Pinot Grigio out of my nose laughing over the attendance figure (provided even by FOX).

  • The Real Royal King

A slight correct, INB. FOX dominates on cable news. Most Americans who watch news still watch broadcast news.

  • writer

Tea party crowds are small? Very telling. MSNBC’s ratings are small? Meaningless.

  • The Real Royal King

MSNBC’s low ratings are telling. They deserve to be low. Of course, MSNBC isn’t a quasi political party or an adjunct to a bona fide party always strutting about proclaiming their own righteousness and talking about how America fears it.

Fair enough… but since we all know the difference between cable news and network news, I didn’ t think it had to be said.

Of course, recently, FNC has beeni making a dent in their numbers as well… Perhaps it’s only a matter of time.

    Keith Olbermann
    Rachel Maddow

Hmmm… a lot of folks with the same ideology… seems pretty similar. And I wonder, how much time do they spend attacking Republicans, and promoting Democrats/Liberals? Almost all of it, you say? How interesting.

Well, at least when folks disagree with them they don’t suggest that they’re racist, homophobic, misogynistic, or anything else like that. Oh wait… they do? All the time? Really>

I’m sorry, Royal… I interrupted your comedy routine with the truth again… please, continue… I believe you were saying something funny.

  • The Real Royal King

Indeed, it can go without saying. I just feel the need to remind people that the world still doesn’t revolve around cable news. The viewers seem to lose perspective. But, I shouldn’t fault the viewers. There are cable news fan clubs, as you well know, which tend to intentionally exaggerate cable news’ importance.

  • The Real Royal King

Actually, I’m far less obsessed with MSNBC than you. If it went off the air tonight, I wouldn’t much care.

And you’re point is? You don’t care about MSNBC, like you care about FNC, because they agree with your general philosophy… that’s why you’re allowed to make factually inaccurate statements?

If you don’t care, perhaps you shouldn’t try to defend them… or become more well informed before you do.
