On GMA, President Obama Says Anthony Weiner Will ‘Bounce Back’

In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, President Obama said he’s confident Weiner–who announced his resignation Thursday–will “refocus” and ultimately “bounce back.” The president said he wished Rep. Weiner “and his lovely wife well. Obviously this had been a tough incident for them.”

Roberts also asked the president about the economy, specifically the payroll tax cut, which was part of last year’s compromise to extend the Bush Administration’s tax cuts. The president didn’t promise to keep the payroll cuts, saying “whatever incentives we can provide to businesses to hire more people, the better off we’ll be, so I’ll be working with leaders in both parties hopefully to make the right decisions for the American people.”

I hope the misery Obamo is feeling causes him to smoke more. His life these next eighteen months will be made miserable by an economy that will refuse to heal itself as long as there is a chance He gets credit for it. The private sector desperately wants Obamo to take the blame for a horrible economy rather than credit for a healing one. That’s what Obamo gets for demonizing everyone but his union-hack pals.

yes, i’m sure hell be back to tweeting and emailing lewd pics of himself in no time. you can’t keep a superhero like that down for too long. he’s large and in charge – capes and tights sh*t!

as for his career, i have my doubts. he didn’t have any friends in the house before this went down, or during. i doubt they will be welcoming him back with open arms.

Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez praised the hiring of 130 new lawyers even though he confessed he didn’t have enough money to pay for them all.

As to the beer bash we are paying for; 815 employees during office hours, sweet. Wonder how many businesses would be able to provide incentives like that?

You know that’s the saddest thing. He acted like a horses petoot every time he was interviewed by Fox. Obviously his fellow democrats thought the same thing. Nobody to defend him or stand by him. That is rather sad for a 46 year old man. Although everything that rained down on him was caused by his own behaviour, I do feel sorry for him. It would be rather devastating to find out that you have no friends.

Don’t know if his wife will stick by him – and God’s knows what he’d do if she didn’t because he did appear to be in awe of her.
