O’Reilly to Rove: GOP Lacks Real Leader, Any Strong Alternative to Obamacare
Bill O’Reilly challenged Karl Rove on Wednesday over the lack of “real central authority in the Republican party right now” and how the GOP’s mixed messages on a range of issues like Obamacare and immigration might be good for an ideologically broad tent, but not good for solidifying a strong, cohesive, united message.
O’Reilly even dismissed the idea RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has any real power in the party right now, and said all the chaos makes it easy for the Democrats to give them the knee-jerk “party of no” label. Rove noted the lack of centralized power comes with the territory when your party doesn’t occupy the White House, and emphasized the need for Republicans to talk about what they’re for, as opposed to what they’re against.
O’Reilly also charged that one of the big problems the GOP has is the fact that the American public has absolutely no idea what their alternate plan for health care is, and so they really need to up the messaging ante.
