CNN’s John King: Trump Threw Pence Under the Bus Tonight

John King observed on CNN after the debate tonight that Donald Trump basically threw his running mate under the bus.

Not only did Trump tonight publicly disagree with Pence on Syria, but he said, “He and I haven’t spoken.”

King said that it’s notable Trump threw Pence “under the bus” like that because he––a strong social conservative––continued to stand by Trump after that audio of his horrifying remarks was released.

He did also note that Trump was likely upset by how Pence didn’t defend Trump enough during the VP debate last week.
