Jon Stewart Surveys the Nuclear Fallout: Filibuster Change the ‘Hiroshima of Voting!’
Jon Stewart wasted no time on Thursday reacting to the devastating nuclear fallout of Harry Reid pushing the big red button and wreaking havoc all across the country, in the form of a change in Senate rules on the filibustering of non-Supreme Court nominees. In other words, “It’s the Hiroshima of voting!”
Stewart mocked the media frenzy over the change, and took on the Republicans for warning the Democrats for warning that one day, they too “will want to be obstructionist assholes!” And what then?
For as Stewart foretold, there was much blood shed the day the Senate did something no one really quite understands fully.
“And verily, there was a blight upon this land, for once mjudicial nominees could be approved by simple majority, CHristmas was abruptly cancelled, and babies were born knowing all the curse words!”
