New York AG Sends Trump Foundation a Cease and Desist

The Attorney General of New York has sent a cease and desist to the Trump Foundation saying they must stop soliciting contributions.

A recent report revealed that the Trump Foundation lacks the certification required by charities to solicit money. Donald Trump‘s foundation has been apparently soliciting money and donations for years without that certification.

And so, NBC News reports, NY AG Eric Schneiderman wants them to stop:

The Trump campaign was quick to respond:

The “political motives” they are referring to is the fact that Schneiderman openly supports Hillary Clinton.
