So much for the Special Relationship.
From a dust-up with Prime Minister Theresa May, to possibly being off of the invite list for the royal wedding, the evidence is mounting that President Donald Trump is not exactly a beloved figure in the UK. And now, one member of parliament is speaking out against Trump in the strongest possible terms.
In an interview with the BBC, British Labour shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry held absolutely nothing back in a blistering critique of the U.S. president.
“He is an asteroid of awfulness that has fallen on this world,” Thornberry said. “I think that he is a danger, and I think that he is a racist.”
Trump, on Thursday, announced he won’t be traveling to London to open the new U.S. Embassy. Probably for the best that he keeps his distance from Thornberry.
