Katy Perry Will Be on Morning Joe for Pre-Super Bowl Coverage

NBC is airing next Sunday’s Super Bowl, and so of course they’re pulling out all the stops to give this thing the coverage it so desperately needs. On MSNBC, Chris Matthews and the cast of Morning Joe will be doing special Super Bowl shows in Arizona.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will be doing a special Morning Joe at Night (presumably they decided against Morning Joe After Dark) tomorrow night, from 8 to 10 pm. According to TheWrap, their guests include Ronan Farrow, the mayor of Phoenix, Willie Geist, ESPN host Mike Lupica, et cetera.

Oh, and Katy Perry.

Yep, the superstar and Super Bowl halftime singer is going to be appearing on Morning Joe. Just take a second to process that.

Now, to be fair, Morning Joe has had some celebrities on over the years. In fact, they once chatted with Russell Brand, Perry’s ex, in an interview that took a swift turn into media criticism.
