Police Near Ferguson Shoot and Critically Injure Another Teen

Chaos continues in and around the town of Ferguson, Mo., as there’s been another person shot by the police and, separately, a woman was shot in the head, possibly as the result of a drive-by. In the case of the former, police responded to reports of shots being fired just near the town still protesting the police shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown only a few days ago.

Police showed up at the scene and a 19-year-old pulled a gun, at which point one of the officers reportedly feared for his life and shot the 19-year-old more than once. That teenager is still alive, but in the hospital and in critical condition.

According to KMOV, this happened just down the road from where Al Sharpton had spoken on the shooting earlier.

Meanwhile, an hour before that incident and only a mile away, a woman was shot as a car drove by. Police say it’s possible, but unclear, that the shots were fired from the car.
