Iowa Republican congressman Steve King posted on Twitter this afternoon to suggest a linkage between the Dallas shooting and President Obama:
#DallasPoliceShooting has roots in first of anti-white/cop events illuminated by Obama…Officer Crowley. There were others.

King is referring to the controversial arrest of Professor Henry Louis Gates in 2009. Gates had been trying to get into his own locked home and the police were called on him. The charges against him were dropped.
Obama reacted by saying the police acted “stupidly” and ended up holding that infamous “beer summit” at the White House between Gates and the arresting officer.
