Top Jeb Bush Advisor Leaves the GOP, Will Vote for Clinton If It Comes to That
A top advisor to Jeb Bush is leaving the Republican Party, and it’s pretty clear that Donald Trump is a major reason why.
According to CNN, Sally Bradshaw believes that Trump’s behavior so awful and appalling that this election is not just about left versus right, but about temperament and a time for “country… to take priority over political parties.”
Here’s why she can’t stand to be a Republican anymore:
“This election cycle is a test,” Bradshaw said. “As much as I don’t want another four years of (President Barack) Obama’s policies, I can’t look my children in the eye and tell them I voted for Donald Trump. I can’t tell them to love their neighbor and treat others the way they wanted to be treated, and then vote for Donald Trump. I won’t do it.”
And that’s why a loyal and steadfast Republican is actually saying she might vote for Hillary Clinton.
Not definitively, but as Bradshaw put it, “If the race in Florida is close, I will vote for Hillary Clinton.”
She emphasizes that she would have been fine with any other Republican contender ending up as the nominee, but “we are at a crossroads and have nominated a total narcissist — a misogynist — a bigot.”
“To continue to be the hope of the world,” Bradshaw concludes, “all Americans regardless of party affiliation have to reject him.”
