President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear at a joint news conference with President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria on Monday afternoon at the White House.
Terrorism is expected to play a prominent role in the discussions between the two leaders, as Nigeria continues to grapple with the long-term Boko Haram insurgency. Economic matters are also likely on the agenda between Trump and Buhari according to the BBC, as the two are expected to discuss ways for the U.S. and Nigeria to strengthen their economic ties.
As per usual at press conferences with world leaders, Trump is expected to field two questions from a pair of American journalists. The latest developments in the North Korean peace talks figure to be a possible topic during the Q&A. Trump’s Tweets blasting Michelle Wolf‘s controversial White House Correspondents’ Dinner set may also be addressed.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. ET. Watch above, via the White House.
