WATCH: Video Emerges of Police Firing Tear Gas at Ferguson Residents

Last night, Ferguson cops came out in full force after there were reports of shots fired in the town still reeling from Michael Brown‘s death. Police officers fired tear gas to disperse protestors, and video has emerged of tear gas being fired at outraged residents who, at the time they were gassed, were standing behind a fence on private property.

The River Front Times caught the incident on video. The police were evacuating the street and several individuals continued to protest behind the fence. One officer shouted, “Turn around and leave or we will deploy gas!”

Rich West and the friends and family around him continued to protest. The police then proceeded to fire the tear gas at them. West started shouting, “This is my backyard! This is my shit!” His brother added, “Why do you think people say ‘Fuck the police?’ Because of that shit.”
