I’ve seen half a dozen different “calculations”, but all  of them lack substantial support.  

What the new RNC allocation system looks like overall is that going in, the RNC controls about 500 delegates**, & another large number in the hundreds are subject to double-stage “caucus” processes – under which first stage caucus voters simply express preferences for candidates, but otherwise the actual voting rights are left with second-stage delegates selected by some linking of first stage representatives with the pre-existing state party apparatus. In total, the RNC & those caucus-state allocations aim to (barely) exceed a majority. As I understand, it’s actually impossible for any candidate to obtain even first ballot victory against the total will of that combined party apparatus number. Moreover, it’s not clear to me that even securing X number of committed ordinary delegates means the candidate can count on all of them beyond the first ballot.(**I’m not sure they’re the equivalent of those “superdelegates” we heard so much about in 2008 with the DNC; I’m guessing not, because under the DNC system, the allocation of superdelegate credentials went to the incoming DNC chair, who was subject to being  selected by the leader in committed ordinary delegates. Instead, I suspect the RNC controls these 500 over and above the state apparatus & independent of the will of the leader in ordinary delegates. But I’m happy to be corrected on this.)

I’m absolutely sure you’re wrong about Gingrich. It’s next to impossible to see a path to him securing this NOMination (It would mean Santorum at least & probably RoPaul also throwing their support behind him, which I just can’t see happening.), so given his original goals in this campaign, he’s a winner no matter what happens: If Romney wins the NOMination & then loses the election, Gingrich can claim to lead the party – he could even take over the RNC. If Santorum wins & then loses, same thing. If Romney wins & WINS, which seems pretty unlikely, he’s a GOP player in a GOP town, back in the saddle again, possibly with either a cabinet position or at least an agency to run. The WORST thing for Newt would be if he won the NOMination & then went on to the inevitable plastering in the election, & even then, Newt’s pretty innovative at making platinum from lemons. No matter what happens, Newt’s bound to be a Beltway feature until the day he has a stroke & keels over.

born.  They also oppose feeding and
caring for the new born people by refusing to provide funds for “ medical care,
food stamps, school lunches, early education thru college, housing subsidies,
social security and Medicare.  If they
refuse to provide funds to care for the life from a cradle to grave, they have
no right to say anything.

They also have no problem sending young men and women in a
harm’s way to be killed in wars. As it is in Matthew 25, Jesus will reject
these false nominal worshipers.
