Mitt Romney Wants You To Know He’s Been Married To The Same Woman For 42 Years In New Ad

Mitt Romney, sensing his grip on the Republican nomination being tugged away by Newt Gingrich, has launched a new ad showcasing his four-decade long union to his wife Ann in a implicit jab at the former Speaker of the House. “I’ve been married to the same woman for 25 – excuse me, I’ll get in trouble – for 42 years. I’ve been in the same church my entire life.”

The emotionally-gripping campaign ad features gauzy, home movie footage of the former Massachusetts governor and Ann Romney in vintage loving embrace, with an orchestrally stringed music track.

“If I’m President of the United States,” Romney says in the family values-centric ad. “I will be true to my family, my faith and our country and I will never apologize for the United States of America.”

And being married for 42 years would make him a good president why?

He will always agree with you?

I sense Romney is going to get the nomination, whether or not I like it, and I’m willing to suck it up and just watch the dog-and-pony show go down, when the media conducts a full frontal assault on him, his family, and his record of justified flip-flopping. He’s not going to win, and frankly I wouldn’t have it any other way. That says a lot after The First Lady’s little witticism back in September, at a certain memorial ceremony. But, I’d rather a couple of marxist black liberationists who don’t propose to care that much about the American people, than a guy who obviously doesn’t give a damn when the camera isn’t rolling, who is conveniently patriotic only when it suits him, and whose view of America seems intent on excluding those in the Black, Latino, Gay, and Mentally Disabled communities, in favor of that damn “morning in America” cornfield crap.

Obviously that is a shot at Newt. But Newt then might point out that Romney’s great grandfather was a polygamist who lived in Mexico to avoid US prosecution. If being married to just one person indicates good character, imagine how good it must be to have five, or even twelve wives.

Mitt Romney is trying to become the Republican’s nominee for president.  To those voter’s, being married to the same person for 42 is an achievement.  It is hard to understand why anyone wouldn’t see it as an achievement.

It definitely shows his ability to endure hardship, pain, and conflict.

Acknowledgement that this is an achievement is not limited to only conservative voters.

If being married to the same person and attending the same religious institution throughout your entire adult life qualifies you to be president, then my father should be president. Come to think of it, so should my mother.

You would think this would matter to the  people of Iowa, but they will probably go with the hornDog.

Nice ad for the Iowa voters.   Showing family values with action, not words, is a nice, subtle branding move.   Plus, could they look any healthier!

He and his wife LOOK fantastic for their age, healthy living has its benefits.

Boy do I agree!!!  I am not supporting Mitt but I respect him for being a good dad, husband and supporter of his family. He is in a position to do so, and I do not blame him. He lives his
values, as opposed to talking the talk and not walking the walk Newt.

Romney can win the nomination and the election, but he has to fix a couple of problems if he’s going to do that. He has a lovely wife and a beautiful family, but that’s not enough.

    Newt Gingrich is
the shooting-star-of-the-month Republican candidate for president. He’s
proclaimed himself the front runner based on the polls; and it must be true
because all the other Republican candidates have begun criticizing him. But can
the chubby, twice divorced, former Speaker of the House with an attitude and a
record in politics longer than Moses’ trek in the desert win the Republican
nomination and the 2012 election? The answer to both questions is yes, and
    here’s why.  http://ewross.com/can_newt_gingrich_win_the_nomination_and_the_election.htm

Ever since Newt spiked in the polls, Mitt has been distributing images featuring himself with his wife and family.  I think Maddow did a piece on this.

Which of the two Republican “social conservatives” matches your own character?
And you thought Romney was an American patriot? Yikes!

Anne Manning claims she performed a sex act on Gingrich in his

    Jackie in 1977.
