Your Moment Of Glenn: Beck Compares Dems To Used Car Salesmen
You know if Glenn Beck was the one selling the health care plan I’m fairly certain it would be a done deal, in and out, likity split. Of course, we have not yet fully moved into Bizarro world (though, feels like we are awfully close some times) and therefore we only get to witness Beck’s superhero salesman-like ability when he is complaining about something on his nightly show.
Today Beck took issue with how quickly the Dems are attempting to ram the health care bill down the throats of Congress and by extension, America and by extension every other conspiracy theory currently plaguing the media. It’s as though they are the worst sort of used car salesmen and we are the customer: “Don’t think, don’t ask, don’t wait another second! CALL NOW!” Video below.

It’s basically just like Beck hasn’t been paying attention for the past 9 months.
Hey, Dan Abrams: I know you’re reading, as the proprietor of this site.
What exactly IS Glynnis MacNicol’s role here? Is she a “columnist,” like the opinionated Tommy Christopher, or is she supposed to be a news reporter?
The Beaver (aka Glenn Beck) is basically a used car salesman so he does know a little (very little) about the subject.
LNSmithee – Yes, by all means, please get to the bottom of precisely the role GM plays at this here web site. Keep us posted brave trooper!!
The most difficult part of “Your Moment of Zen” is restraining myself from answering the clown.
PS) I enjoy the feature because unless he says something shockingly outlandish, I’d never get to hear anything that he says.
Yeah… it’s sure a good thing that congress didn’t hide the bill, and provided ample time for everyone to read it before they began allowing legislation to get to “the next step.”
Yeah yeah yeah… I know I know… Beck = Bad, so whatever he says must be wrong… even when it’s correct.
Glynnis… I hope your hate keeps you warm at night. It’s gotta be good for something.
LNSmithee,
Glynnis MacNicol is a Senior Editor of this site according to Wiki..

ImNotBlue,
I know right wingers hate facts and truths but actually the health care bill has been on the internet available to read for anyone, for a very long time. When they did make some final changes before the last vote, it was simply a few changes to a few pages.. not 2000 pages worth of changes.. and, fyi,, they did in fact have those changes up on the internet to read for (if I recall) something like 5 days before the vote. For you to defend the utter lunatic-wackjob Glenn Beck speaks volumes about yourself. Your IQ must not be very high if you can’t tell the difference between real news and/or reporters, and the entertainment fringe who show up on tv claiming to be offering (real news) and throw out a bunch of bullsh’t that some people fall for …. rather than investigate the facts themselves to see whom is telling the truth.

*sigh*
“Versions” of the healthcare bill have been online for a while NOW… but they weren’t when it was more relevant. This has been an ongoing debate with this administration… “Vote for this now, transparency later.” Lest we forget the stimulus… lest we forget the first confrontations of the Tea Partiers, who demanded their representatives read the bill, and were told, “We have other things to do.” Come on… this was only a few months ago, you can’t have forgotten already.
For you to defend the utter lunatic-wackjob Glenn Beck speaks volumes about yourself.
Not defending Beck, defending the truth. I know because Beck said it, you must be against it… it’s easier to disagree with EVERYTHING, than to think on your own… but that doesn’t really change reality.
Your IQ must not be very high if you can’t tell the difference between real news and/or reporters, and the entertainment fringe…
And where did I do this? Again, just because Beck said it, doesn’t immediate make it untrue.
Sorry, please try again.
Beck continues on his tirade to link health care reform to Robert Creamer (his contention the bill was written in federal prison). Beck has ONE meme: all government is bad. That’s it. That’s all he has and his simplistic rhetoric appeals to the far right fringe and those who enjoy histrionics and crass humor. He’s a pathetic little man, earning millions of dollars off the backs of seriously paranoid and delusional individuals.
If I ever see Glenn Beck use tap water or stand on a public road, I’m going to tell him he’s got to stop using our government services and move to libertarian Somalia.
Being called a used car salesman by Glenn Beck is like being called a thief by Bernie Madoff.
Let’s do a quick exercise. How many comments above from the left attack Beck… versus how many comments from the left attack what he said in this instance?
Hmm… a lot more “anti-Beck” comments. I wonder why? I guess attacking the messenger is easier than attacking the substance. But I suppose that’s SOP about now.
I think that’s pretty much SOP for both sides, which is why healthcare, global warming, etc… will remain at a political standstill. Attack the person and not the messenger is all people seem to know how to do these days.
ImNotBlue but IAmAnIdiot – Substance? What substance? We are talking Glenn Beck, yes?
Beck. Just another Right-wing alcoholic – with a hunk of John Smith thrown in. He has defenders here tho. Specimens right out of “Operation Repo.” Incognizent – and filled to the brim with atrocities of the mind. Yet they dare to speak of “hate.” Tis their very essence of life.
Nachi, you are one vile human being. Period.

Thanks for coming to the party Ted. What would we do without you name calling in the background?

Incognizent – and filled to the brim with atrocities of the mind.
in•cog•ni•zant (adj.) – Lacking knowledge or awareness; unaware
Ex. Nachi is ironically incognizant of how to spell the word “incognizant.”
Michael Steele Distances GOP From Tea Party Slurs: “Some Idiots Saying Stupid Things”

Michael Steele was on MSNBC's Meet The Press this morning, talking to David Gregory about health care reform. The conversation eventually turned to yesterday's anti-health care rally at the capitol, when members of the conservative Tea Party movement allegedly verbally assaulted John Lewis and Barney Frank, using racial and gay slurs. And unlike Sarah Palin, Michael Steele doesn't self-identify with the Tea Party movement.
