NYP: Eliot Spitzer Using CNN As Launching Pad For 2013 Mayoral Run
The New York Post is determined to get Eliot Spitzer back into office come hell or cable host job. Today’s latest effort comes via Page Six, which reports that “Just because Eliot Spitzer will co-host a primetime show on CNN doesn’t mean he’s given up his dream of a political comeback.”
At least the Post hasn’t given up on their dream. They continue:
“He thinks that after he’s on air a few months, he’ll become a familiar face and the scandal will fade away,” said an insider. But upstate voters are less forgiving, and Spitzer knows he can’t win a statewide office. “His plan is to run for mayor when Mike Bloomberg’s third term ends in 2013.”
Never say never. Truth be told, even considering the recent CNN news, Eliot Spitzer as mayor of NYC somehow manages to sound more believable than Eliot Spitzer as CNN 8pm co-host.
