Glenn Beck had been suggesting for some time now that the anger against Barack Obama had been misguided– instead, the President deserved pity. Today, he explained why. Brace yourself–“you’re going to feel sorry for the little boy Barry Obama.”

Glenn Beck returned to the airwaves last night after a week-long vacation, during which he picked up a puppet dressed in Chinese military garb Mao puppet at Disney Land. Beck’s latest grumble after a week away — other than the fact the country apparently went nuts while he was off the air — is Net Neutrality and the FCC hearing that is taking place this week regarding the latest Net Neutrality bill. He’s against it.

Glenn Beck is writing a novel for grown-ups. in a move that is both genius and likely infuriating (to “intellectuals,” anyway) Beck appropriated the title ‘Overton Window’ from a popular political concept, which he explained via the infamous chalkboard late last month.

Happy fashion Friday! I have no idea what Glenn Beck was talking about today. Not because he wasn’t making sense — he very well might have been; he was in front of a live audience in Tampa and he’s usually slightly more low key when there’s a group. The reason I have no idea is because Glenn Beck’s sweater was so blinding I couldn’t stare at the TV for any length of time. Not kidding.

Apparently Glenn Beck was watching the same Fox News broadcast as us this afternoon and maybe took it to heart? Beck, who has frequently in the past advocated against violent acts, remarked that he had seen a report earlier today on Fox about the rash of death threats against members of Congress who had voted for the health care bill. This was his response.

I think this may be Glenn Beck’s version of backpedaling. Nearly ten days after Time posted an article titled “Why Does Glenn Beck Hate Jesus?” — which itself followed a New York Times piece about certain church leaders encouraging their followers to stop watching Beck — Beck has addressed the issue. Sort of.

If you were expecting Glenn Beck to throw a temper tantrum over the passing of the health care bill by the House you had to wait a full twenty minutes into tonight’s show to see any expression of anger. Beck wanted to make good and sure viewers knew he was not upset. Turns out Congress had played right into his hands by revealing themselves to be the evil Progressives he has been saying they were for a full year now.

Is anyone in the media not talking about Glenn Beck? It’s clear we here at Mediaite certainly spend a lot of time doing so, but it would appear the rest of the world is catching up. Are they ever. Just take my morning media consumption as an example.

Glenn Beck received a very special present this St. Patrick’s Day from one of his major chalkboard villains, SEIU president Andy Stern: an SEIU smock and a letter written in “little girl’s writing.” Beck responded in kind, making his own custom t-shirt designs to match each recipient’s personality. The answer to your question is no, Che Guevara does not appear, but Chairman Mao does!

Last night we pointed out that Glenn Beck appeared to have a rather loose grip on the role of Congress when it came to the nation’s unalienable rights. Tonight, Beck noted the hammering he had taken for his remarks and then took a moment to, um, clarify?

In the course of explaining why the health care bill is not okay, and moreover goes against everything the Founders had in mind, Beck appears to mess up what most would consider basic junior high American history. The pie in question is the ‘twice-fried cherry pie’ from a Brooklyn restaurant called The Chip Shop (if you ever go there make sure to have the deep fried Mars Bar). The menu states that the pie has been banned by New York State, presumably as part of their saturated fats ban. IT IS A PIE TOO FAR. I encourage you to watch the clip and then reflect on the restraint Glenn Beck showed during the Eric Massa interview.

So, Eric Massa showed up for his Glenn Beck interview. And honestly I’m not really sure where to start. Wow. Riveting stuff. I think it’s fair to say, if you’ve ever wondered what Glenn Beck looks like when he realized he’s been had that the 20 minute mark is a good place to start.

Word went out earlier today that (now former) Congressman Eric Massa would be a guest on Beck’s powerhouse show for the full hour tomorrow. Tonight we got a bit of a preview of the tone that interview is likely to take. Eric Massa’s ‘moment’ may decide the fate of the nation.

Last night Beck, and his pipe, took a moment to weigh in on the NYT coverage of David Paterson. The short version is that the New York Times, and by extension, the Democratic Machine, is being overly hard on poor Gov. Paterson. This in stark difference to Charlie Rangel. But why?

The men in the white coats have come to get Glenn Beck! Kidding. Turns out Beck decided to take a page from President Obama’s notebook and surround himself with doctors last night. Or at least people dressed as doctors. Because people in white lab coats add an air of “credibility” to any proceeding. Or an air of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, depending.

Van Jones is really just the gift that keeps on giving. For Glenn Beck, anyway. In his NAACP image award acceptance speech over the weekend Jones jokingly announced that he loves Glenn Beck! “To my fellow countryman, Mr. Glenn Beck, I see you and I love you, and you cannot do anything about it.” The bromance continues after the jump.

Ok. Well this should clear things up somewhat for those folks out there who are confused as to what side of the climate change debate Glenn Beck falls on. He apparently thinks it’s merely another conspiracy theory. Move over Birthers and Truthers!

Meet the new post-CPAC Glenn Beck! Today, in the aftermath of Scott Brown’s vote for Harry Reid’s Democrat-backed job stimulus bill Beck is not necessarily full of admonitions for Brown or even ‘I told you so’s’ for voters so much as ‘you should have seen it coming!’

The answer to your first question is yes, Glenn Beck brought his chalkboard with him to his CPAC keynote address. Secondly, judging by the crowd’s reaction, the right Glenn Beck showed up tonight. That said, Beck continued to not mince words when it came to the Republicans, whom he compared to Tiger Woods and/or alcoholics.

This is going to be interesting. Which Glenn Beck is going to show up to deliver the key note address tomorrow at CPAC. No one seems to know, including Glenn Beck. If it’s the Glenn Beck who opened today’s show by blaming Dick Cheney et al. for the economy, it’s going to be an interesting address.

In case you ever wondered what it might be like to watch Glenn Beck cover a breaking news event, his reaction to today’s Austin plane crash was a pretty good hint. Answer is: he didn’t do too bad (all things considered), though, truth be told, I did spend the first fifteen minutes of his show holding my breath waiting for him to say something truly career-ending.
