Greta Van Susteren Takes On The Record To North Korea For Rare American Live Broadcast

In a first for Fox’s On the Record, Greta Van Susteren broadcast live from North Korea Thursday night, reporting on a potential disaster unfolding in the country, massive food shortages. Van Susteren, making her third trip to the DPRK, is traveling with Rev. Franklin Graham, who said his father–who’s been hospitalized–is “doing well.”

While the Fox News crew wasn’t able to travel freely in the notoriously closed society, they were given access to parts of the country rarely seen by American journalists–including a trip to the Chinese border, and a visit to a cooperative farm where assistance from the U.S. is helping farmers recover from flooding that has devastated the crops.

“visit to a cooperative farm where assistance from the U.S. is helping farmers”

Cooperative farming has never worked and never will work because everyone expects someone else will do all the work.

Greta likes to demonstrate the failures of socialism and how it robs people of their individual spunk which is the polar opposite of Sarah Palin.

Wow I wonder how Greta managed to go without Queen Moron. Guess that was quite difficult. Didn’t think she could seperate herself long enough to do a show. Same for all of Fox – they should call it Palin cable channel. Or even Bristol – she should have taken bristol with her now that she had her jaw/teeth problem fixed.

Can you imagine the outrage from the right if a pundit from MSNBC had traveled to North Korea three times in four years?

  • THE REAL ROYAL KING

Are there no missing white girls in America that Ms. O’Van Susteren must keep returning to North Korea?

They did have trouble with all those Vans and Os in Greta’s name. Must be a cultural thing.

Peoples Democratic Republic? There is no Democracy in North Korea. Only a few weeks ago the 80 years old dictator Kim Jong IL was threatening his neighbor to the South which could have resulted in our military involvement. Serious or not, the American people worry that someone can “accidentally” press the wrong button. Neddless to say, North Korea is always playing the missile testing card costing us millions in aid to quiet it them for awhile. How much is enough? May be they should ask their prisoners to step up their production a bit. We have no business helping an enemy that is always looking to distroy us. Sorry.

I appreciate Mr. Grahams efforts and Greta’s efforts in North Korea. As a Christian and perhaps speaking for some of Mr. Grahams contributors would like to ask Why we cant feed the Chistians in the Consentration camps as well as the free communist who torture them daily and murder them and worship their masterful leader. We are supose to feed our enemies and acknowledge that our resources are from our savior the Lord Jesus Christ. However; when I say shame, Jesus might would say woe. I say shame on Rich China. I say shame on a dictator who would let food that we sent during the last famine, rot in the harbors while mothers were eating their babies. Mr Graham where is the mention of Jesus in all this? Does the news mediea filter it out? How many muslims feed muslims or others, how many buddist relief camps are there? How many Hindus feed others through out the world. Are We too proud to give God the Glory for our efforts. What would King David have done. Feed the Communist without feeding his own? WWJD feed the enemies with out feeding his own.

I’m surprised the MSNBC crew doesn’t do on-location broadcasts from North Korea. They should feel right at home. They could show the rest of us one of the last surviving countries that takes state control of the economy very seriously. Rachel and Ed and Chris and Lawrence could brag about the spectacular results when smart government bureaucrats make decisions rather than individuals, and evil corporations have been banished from the scene. MSNBC utopia, ne c’est pas?
